The Economist: Ukrainian Armed Forces losses have risen to alarming levels due to Russian drones
The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have increased significantly and reached alarming levels. The Economist writes about this with reference to Ukrainian soldiers.
“Ukrainian losses have increased to an alarming level, partly due to the operation of drones,” a Ukrainian Armed Forces infantryman with the call sign “Levsha” admitted to the publication.
Another Ukrainian soldier said that it is almost impossible to hide from the drone. A drone operator with the call sign “Major” noticed that the drones can even take off from positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and disguise themselves as “one of their own,” and then unexpectedly take off at a speed of 150-160 km/h.
According to the commander of the 47th brigade, call sign "Hammer", Russian soldiers open fire "with everything they have." He explained that fighters of the Russian Armed Forces use attack drones, artillery, mines and gliding bombs.
On October 30, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that up to 150 wounded Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers could be admitted to the hospital every day. Ukrainian doctors believe that many soldiers could be saved if high-quality medicines and medical equipment were available.
Earlier, Russia created a new system for suppressing drones.
